We all talk about how we want to gain strength. This can be physical, physiological, spiritual etc…
We all want to grow as individuals in one area or another. But are we all really willing to do the dirty work that is required for that growth? Are we ready to fail in the name of growth?
I’m not saying dirty in the sense of low moral value, but dirty in the sense of hard and strenuous work. In the gym are you ready to fail at a particular weight over and over again for years? Only to finally complete that weight, follow it up with 5 more pounds, and start the process of failing all over again? In business are you ready to get rejected 100 times before you get that first “yes”? Are you also ready to get rejected 100 more before the next. I can continue with hundreds of examples but for the sake of avoiding redundancy let’s stop it there.
Strength takes time and effort.
Strength takes failure and perseverance.
You don’t just get to be strong, you have to grow strong.
Years, people. It takes years and years and it’s a very bumpy ride.
“Ladies and gentlemen, please make sure your seat backs and tray tables are in their full upright position. Make sure your seat belt is securely fastened and all carry-on luggage is stowed underneath the seat in front of you or in the overhead bins. Thank you.”
